Elvis Aron Presley...

Elvis Aron Presley was born to Gladys Love Smith and Vernon Elvis Presley in the small two-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 8, 1935. His twin-brother Jess Garon was stillborn, and Elvis grew up as only child in the poor family.

In 1948, Elvis and his parents moved to Memphis, Tennessee, there he gratuated Humes High School in 1953.

On the formation Elvis unique musical style had an effect the gospel, he heard in the church since the early childhood, the pop, country music and rhythm-n-blues, which he absorbed on famous Beale Street in Memphis.

On July 5, 1954, Elvis recorded song "That's All Right, Mama at Sam Phillips' Sun studio in Memphis, which became the official beginning of his musical career and today acknowledged as the most significant and rotary event in the musical culture of twentieth century.

In period 1954-55 l Elvis successfully appeared at the famous show of country music "Louisiana Hayride" and gave a lot of concerts in the southern states.

In 1955 Thomas Parker on the nickname Colonel became Elvis manager. On November 20, 1955 Elvis signed his contract with RCA Victor.

In January 1956 Elvis recorded song "Heartbreak Hotel" - his first "gold" single, radiated by the millionth print run. In 1956 Elvis appeared on the American television in the program of brothers Dorsey "Stage Show", Milton Berle, Steve Allen and Ed Sullivan and signed movie-contract with Hollywood.

In November 1956, in New York, took place the premier of the first Elvis film "Love Me Tender".

By 1956 Elvis became an national sensation and the most popular entertaner in the whole world. He created a new musical style, challended the social and racial barriers of the time and forever changed popular culture. In March 1957 Elvis Presley purchased the estate Graceland in Memphis.

On March 24, 1958 Elvis Presley, located on the top of his popularity was inducted into the U.S. Army for two years. Elvis served to West Germany until March 1960.

In the period since 1960 to 1969 Elvis was removed in Hollywood and recorded albums to the films.

In 1968 took place the historical Elvis TV-show "68'.Comeback Special"), which became rotary event in the Elvis career and his triumphal return to the live performances, to serious studio work and to numerous tours on America.

Since 1969 Elvis Presley began the concert appearances in Las Vegas, and since September 1970 Elvis had began his concert tours through America, which continued to his death in 1977.

In 1971 Elvis Presley assepted the honor of being named One of Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Nation by U.S. Jaycees.

In June 1972 Elvis gave exellent concerts at New York Madison Square Garden.

On January 14, 1973, took place the historical special "Aloha From Hawaii", which was transmitted through the satellite to 40 countries from Honolulu, Hawaii.

In the period from 1970 to 1977 Elvis Presley gave an infinitely large quantity of concerts and recorded many good albums. On June 26, 1977 the last Elvis concert took place in Indianapolis in "Market Square Arena".

Elvis Presley died at his Memphis home Graceland on August 16, 1977.

Elvis' exceptional talent, unique style, exellent voice, rare musicality, natural charm, charisma and magic of personality made Elvis the most popular artist in the whole world and one of the brightest figures of the twentieth century. He starred in 33 successfully films, gave a lot of great live concert performances, sold over one billion records, more than any other artist. After his death, his popularity not fade away, - today, as never, Elvis Presley is popular in the whole wide world!
